Our National Philanthropy: MDA
Our national philanthropy is the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Each year Kappa Alpha chapters nationwide work together to raise money for MDA. On average we raise around $130,000 to $150,000 a year nationwide.
Every year we locally hold fundraisers to do our part. Last year we raffled off 2 box seat tickets to the OU/Nebraska game, and 2 tickets to the Orange Bowl, and all of the money we raised went to MDA.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency -- a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.
MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education.
